Guest: Tina Kuckkahn (Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe)

 

A member of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe, Tina Kuckkahn has been the founding director of the Longhouse Education and Cultural Center at the Evergreen State College for the past 13 years. The Longhouse hosts Native artist gatherings, art sales, exhibitions, residencies, marketing workshops and administers a national grant program for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians. In this interview Kuckkahn discusses issues around changing demographics and Native artists.
